| June began with banner results with ribbons
for all C Square Farm entries.
On Saturday, Courtney competed Candycane Rain in his 2nd Preliminary
Level event. Like he did the week earlier, "Candy" used
another clean cross country round on top of his good jumping and
dressage tests to bring home another red ribbon with a second place
finish.
On Sunday, Courtney returned with Hanna and Zozimus, and Jennifer
Burg rode Partner in Crime, all at the Training Level. Hanna turned in
clean cross country and show jumping rounds to finish on her dressage
score of 31.5 and bring Courtney a 2nd red ribbon for the weekend.
"Zoso" also finished on his dressage score, winning a 4th
place ribbon in only his 2nd horse trials. Jennifer Burg and
"Partner" finished out the weekend with another clean cross
country round and a 5th place finish.

| Courtney competed two of our new arrivals in
their first horse trials: Hugh at the Training Level and Toy Soldier at
the Novice Level. Both horses put in three good phases with Hugh
earning a 4th place ribbon. By the end of the day, each of them
made it look like eventing was old-hat, as they enjoyed the cross county
course.
Also competing at the Training Level were, Jennifer Burg on Partner
in Crime and Neal on Hanna. Both of these more experienced
combinations had good starts to the day with excellent dressage tests
and clean show jumping rounds. In fact, Neal lead his division in
the dressage. Unfortunately, problems on the cross county course
kept both of them out of the ribbons. |
