| On Saturday, Courtney lead Toymaster through
his first Preliminary level competition, and in her first ride aboard
Point Clear, Courtney finished in seventh place.
On Sunday, Courtney returned to Fair Hill to compete Hugh and Toy
Soldier in their second horse trials. Both of them turned in good
dressage tests and jumping rounds with Hugh finishing 3rd and Toy
Soldier tenth.

| Courtney and Toymaster lead off the day at
7:45 am with a 2nd place Dressage ride. They followed with great
cross country and show jumping rounds. And before noon, Toymaster
had won his Preliminary Level Division.
Next we competed three horses at the Novice Level, Courtney competed
Siren's Song in her first horse trials; Monica Spitzer rode Unterminated
in her first event with C Square Farm (and her first 1-day event), and
Kristen Crane competed in her first horse trials on Hanna. All
three were in the ribbons after dressage: Siren's Song - 4th,
Unterminated - 3rd, and Hanna - 4th.
By 3 pm, they had all completed clean cross county courses.
Unfortunately, someone offered Kristen unsolicited outside assistance,
and she received a technical elimination. As 5 pm rolled around,
all three riders put in lovely stadium jumping rounds with Siren's Song
finishing 6th and Unterminated 2nd. The outside assistance kept
Kristen and Hanna from receiving a final score or placing.
