| The event team began the year with Courtney
competing Mullacash Paddy and Lindy at the Training Level and Snowy at
Novice. All three had good outings, with Lindy taking home a
seventh place ribbon.

14-15 - Basingstoke Horse Trials - Old Town, Florida |
| In an event a few hours away from our winter
home at Rocking Horse, Courtney began the weekend competing Toy Story in
an Intermediate Level Combined Test (Dressage and Stadium Jumping).
The pair's 1st outing of the year brought home a 3rd place ribbon.
Students Amy Lindgren and Kathy Bell competed at the Beginner Novice
Level with both of them earning 2nd-place finishes. Amy competed
her own Mullacash Paddy for the 1st time, adding clean jumping rounds to
a good dressage test to earn her best finish ever. She also rode
Lindy without any jumping penalties to finish just out of the ribbons.
Kathy, who with her mother Susan Bell only recently purchased Snowy,
was riding in her 1st horse trials ever. The pair was 2nd after
the dressage and never looked back, adding no jumping faults for her own
wonderful finish.

27-29 - Rocking Horse Winter III Horse Trials - Altoona, Florida |
| Now with a month of training in Florida under
their belts, the horses went wonderfully for Courtney. In his 1st
outing of the year, Lord Robert competed at the Intermediate Level
He added a clean cross country jumping round to a strong dressage test
and finished well in stadium to start his year.
Amy Lindrgen's three horses had a great weekend. At the
Preliminary Level, Mullacash Paddy adding only a few time faults on
cross country to a good dressage test and clean stadium round, to finish
3rd. At the Training Level Jake and Lindy each finished on their
dressage scores of 31.5 and 32.0 respectively, adding no jumping or time
penalties on cross country or in stadium jumping. Each were only a
few points out of 1st place, finishing 3rd and 6th.
