July 22-25 -
Stuart Horse Trials - Victor, New York |
| In his fist completion since May, Lord Robert
completed the CIC** to qualify for the the Radnor Hunt International Three
Day Event CCI** in October. Courtney and "Bob" jumped clean on cross
county, but they took their time; so after their double clean stadium
jumping round, they met the qualifying requirements but finished out of
the ribbons. Courtney also rode three horses at the Training Level, Bob
& Kerri Smyth's John and Amy Lindgren's Mullacash Paddy (Winter Sky) and
Lindy. Of the three, "Winter" lead the way, finishing on his
dressage score, with no other faults to claim 2nd place. John and
Lindy each added double clean rounds on cross county to good dressage
tests and only a few faults in stadium to finish 5th and 7th respectively.
Rebe Gray, riding Which One's That and Tribbie McKinnon riding
Carlingford Sky also competed. Rebe completed her 2nd Preliminary
Level horse trials, jumping clean on cross county to finish a good all
around performance. Tribbie and "Teddy" also had no cross county
jumping faults and only a single rail in stadium jumping to round out the
weekend with another good performance. You may remember that "Teddy" was
previously owned by the
Four Star Group and competed by Courtney. |

August 8 -
Pleasant Hollow Horse Trials - Coopersville,
Pennsylvania |
| Back closer to home, the Event Team competing
at Novice, Training, and Preliminary in the last event with our summer
students. Rebe Gray and Which One's That lead the way competing at
Preliminary. With a good dressage test and no jumping faults, they
finished in 5th place. At Training, Courtney led the way riding Amy
Lindgren's Lindy. They scored nearly 70% in the dressage to go on
and win their division. Also competing at Training, Christine Weir,
prepared for her Pony Club "B" rating exam, riding Patty Moshanko's the
Color of Kells.
At Novice, Neal and Hanna competed for the first time in over a year.
While a little rusty, the pair added no jumping faults to their dressage
to finish in 8th place. Courtney also rode Maplehurst Master Skip in
his first horse trials, or horse show for that matter. "Skippy" did
well, improving as the day went along.
Also finishing well were Audrey Hall and Kilowen, who Audrey purchased
from C Square Farm, finishing 2nd at Novice.
