September 4-5 -
Menfelt Horse Trials - Fredrick, Maryland |
| Competing in his first Advanced, Lord Robert
put in a good dressage test and stadium jumping round. Since he was
already qualified for the Radnor Hunt CCI**, Courtney joined many others
who choose not to run over the hard ground in the cross county and was
happy with the results of her combined test. |

September 11-12 -
Seneca Valley Pony Club Horse Trials - Poolesville,
Maryland |
| Needing one more qualifying event for the
Morven Park CCI*, Rebe Gray and Which One's That, came through in flying
colors with a 5th-place finish at the Preliminary Level. Joining
Rebe in the ribbons was Amy Lindgren, who finished 5th at the Beginner
Novice Level on Lindy. Amy also finished just out of the ribbons on
Mullacash Paddy (Winter Sky). Also running well was Maplehurst Master
Skip, who completed his first horse trials. Competing at the Novice
Level, Courtney rode "Skippy" to a good all around performance and good
time for this young horse. |

Plantation Field Horse Trials - Unionville, Pennsylvania |
| In their final outing before the Morven Park
Three Day, Rebe Gray and Which One's That braved the remnants of Hurricane
Ivan to finish 2nd at the Preliminary Level. The pair slogged
through the mud in dressage and jumped well in both stadium and on cross
country to earn their best preliminary finish. Also competing were
Carrie Freeman and former C Square Farm horse Class Touch. They also
braved the weather, earning a 1st-place finish in a different Preliminary
Level division.

25-26 Middleburg Horse Trials -
Middleburg, Virginia |
| Courtney and Lord Robert compete at the
Intermediate Level while Neal and Hanna competed at the Novice Level.
Courtney and Bob had another good performance finishing with no jumping
faults in stadium or on cross county to finish 7th. Neal and Hanna earned
their best dressage score to date (35), but ran into a few difficulties
jumping and finished out of the ribbons. |

29 - October 3 - Morven Park Three Day
Event - Leesburg, Virginia |
| Competing in her first Three Day Event, Rebe
Gray rode her own Which One's That in the CCI*. Rebe rode well all
week and and "Pit" stayed healthy and sound, so that when the put in a
double clear stadium round on Sunday, they had completed the very
difficult task of finishing a Three Day Event. Congratulations to Rebe
and Pit! |
