October 15-16 - ESDCTA New Jersey Horse Trials -

With record rainfall the week before, cross country was cancelled and this
event turned into a combined test. Courtney rode Lord Robert and
Much More, both at the Preliminary Level. Both horses went very
well, finishing in 1st and 2nd place in the dressage, with "Bob" leading
the way with a score of 29. They continued their strong performances
in showing jumping to maintain their placings, bringing home blue and red
ribbons. |

Yet more rain brought the cancellation of the cross country again.
At the Preliminary Level, Courtney and Lord Robert had another fine
outing, placing third in a very competitive division. Also competing
were Christine Weir on Amadeus at Training. They had a lovely
dressage test and a clean stadium jumping round to stand in 2nd place.
As the skies had cleared, the organizer decided to run the Training cross
country, however since her horse did not have the proper shoes for the
muddy conditions, Christine decided not to run cross country. |

Competing on her new mount, Toy Master, Kathy Bell continued her
successful ways. Competing at the novice level, the pair led from
start to finish, with a great dressage test and clean cross country and
stadium jumping rounds to finish first. |

October 29 - Plantation Field Horse Trials -
Unionville, Pennsylvania |

Several current and former students and horses competed in this one-day
Starter Trials. Leading the way were Christine Weir riding Amadeus
at Training and Katherine Brewer riding Which One's at Beginner
Novice, both who finished in 1st place. Others competing were, Patty
Moshanko on the Color of Kells, who finished 4th at Novice, Sara Gartland
on Always a Lady at Training, and Melissa Gartland on Ever Clever at
Beginner Novice. |
