April 14 - Plantation Field Horse Trials -
Unionville, Pennsylvania |
| With a big Nor'easter forecast
for Sunday, this two-day event was shortened to one day with
nearly 300 horses running dressage, stadium jumping and
cross country all in one day. Emily Hamel led
the way riding Grenadier Guard (Declan) at Preliminary.
They placed third in the dressage and did not add any jumping
faults in stadium or cross country to move up and finish in
1st place. Also competing at Preliminary were Sara
Gartland on Always a Lady. They also did well in the
dressage, but added two rails in stadium to finish in 5th.
Courtney rode Havasu Canyon at the Training . They put
in a good dressage test and then jumped clean and within the
time in stadium and cross country to finish in 2nd place.
Courtney also competed with Lucky and Queenie at Novice,
with each of them doing well in all three phases.
