August 11-12 - Fair Hill
International Horse
Trials - Elkton, Maryland |
| Courtney rode Monster Boy and
Havasu Canyon at Preliminary. Monster Boy went first,
putting in good performances in each phase to finish in 4th
place. Havasu also did well starting with a dressage
score of 27.1 and then adding a clean stadium jumping round.
However, with the event being only his second competition at
Preliminary, he had a glance off on cross country to drop
him out of the ribbons. Also competing was Dellsie
Polamski on Ariel at Novice. They did well in the
dressage and then went on to finish both stadium and cross
country without any jumping or time faults to finish in 7th
place. |

August 18-19 - Waredaca Horse Trials -
Olney, Maryland |
In her last outing of the
year before returning to England, Dellsie
Polamski competed at Novice again on Ariel. They put
in a very good dressage test, placing fourth. The pair
went on to add stadium and cross country rounds without any
jumping or time faults to move up and finish 1st. Courtney rode
Havasu Canyon at Preliminary. They did well in the
dressage and jumped clean in stadium. But, because of
the hard ground from the lack of rain, Courtney decided not
to run cross country. |

August 26 - DVCTA Horse Trials at
Carousel Park-
Wilmington, Delaware |
| Competing for the first time
with C Square Farm was Kelley Merette. Riding Hanna at
Novice, she put in a good dressage test and went on to jump
clean in stadium and on cross country to finish 3rd.
Courtney rode our four-year-old, Who's a Star (Tag) in only
his second horse trials. They had a great dressage
test, scoring 28.4, placing 1st in their Beginner Novice
division and 2nd best out of all the horses at the event.
They jumped clean in stadium, but with Tag still being young
and green, they had a single stop on cross country to
place 6th. |
