EVENT TEAM RESULTS

OCTOBER & NOVEMBER 2007

October 3 - Future Event Horse Championships - Middleburg, Virginia

As they have for much of the summer and fall, our two youngest homebreds, R Star (Hope), a yearling filly, and Star Dazzler (Simon), a three-year-old gelding, competed in this completion of in-hand judging.  Each of them continued to score well as they had done all season, with Hope earning a 72.6% to place 4th, and Simon scoring 69.3% and placing 7th.

October 14 - Radnor Hunt Horse Trials - Malvern, Pennsylvania
Continuing the tradition of the Radnor Hunt International Three Day Event, the Radnor Hunt and Pony Clubs hosted a Preliminary Combined Test (dressage and stadium jumping only) and a Novice and Training Horse Trials.  Competing at Preliminary, Courtney and Havasu Canyon did well in the dressage, placing 2nd.  They went on to add only a rail in the difficult Stadium course and finish 1st.  Neal rode Hanna at Novice.  Placed 6th in the dressage, they jumped a double clear in cross country and stadium to move up and finish in 4th place.

October 27-28 - Waredaca Horse Trials - Olney, Maryland
Courtney rode Top Gun Princess and Havasu Canyon, both at Preliminary.  They both did well in all three phases, but finished out of the ribbons.  Competing at Novice, At Novice, Neal and Hanna placed in the dressage, before unfortunately adding their first cross country jumping penalty all year, to fall out of the ribbons; they went on to finish with a good stadium jumping round, a positive note.

November 3 - Plantation Field Horse Trials - Unionville, Pennsylvania
Riding Monster Boy, Kelley Merette competed at Training.  Tied for 2nd in the dressage, they jumping clean in stadium.  The pair then put in a good cross country round until having a run by at a narrow fence out of the water, to finish 6th.  Courtney rode Who's a Star, our four-year-old also known as Tag.  Competing for the first time at Novice, they placed 5th in the dressage, went clean in stadium, but added a green stop on cross country to finish out of the ribbons.

November 9-11 - Rubicon Horse Trials - Leesburg, Virginia
Competing at Preliminary, Courtney rode Top Gun Princess in the final horse trials of the season..  The pair had their best dressage test yet, tying for 8th in a division of 25 horses.  They added only a rail in very difficult stadium course and then went on to jump clean on cross country, moving up to finish in 5th place.
