Fair Hill International Horse Trials – Elkton, MD. August 6, 2011

Courtney competed four of our own horses at this one day event. She started out with Who’s a Star (Tag), who lived up to his name. He scored 25.2 in dressage to lead his Intermediate division. He then added a clear stadium jumping round, as well as a lovely go on cross country, jumping clear and finishing within 1 second of time to finish in 1st place, earning his second blue ribbon in a row.

R Star (Hope) looked to follow in her big brother’s hoof steps. Competing at Novice, Courtney also rode her to the lead in her division, scoring 28. They had a nice stadium round, but added a rail to slip a few placings. They then went clear on cross country to finish 2nd.

Also competing at Novice was the newest member of the Event Team, Vegas Run. Courtney and Vegas scored a respectable 34.5 in dressage to place 5th. A green stop at a big green roll top in stadium added to their score, but they finished up with a clear jumping cross country to place 10th.

At Training, Courtney and Nevah scored 31.8 in dressage to place 5th. In what turned out to be a rough day for her, Nevaeh added a few rails in stadium before pulling a shoe early on in cross country.
