For the second event of the year, many of our own horses got into the action. With temperatures barely making it in the 30s and a brisk wind blowing, Courtney and Who’s a Star (Tag) lead the Team jumping a double clear in stadium and on cross country to finish 4th at Training. Courtney also rode Eyore at Training; they were in the ribbons after the dressage, and they added another pair of great jumping rounds, but a pair of rails in stadium kept them out of the ribbons.
Competing for the first time in 2009, Kelley Merette rode Scout at Training. They had good performances in all three phases, jumping clear in stadium and on cross country, but added a little time on cross country to finish in 11th place.
Courtney rode Mr. Parks at Novice, also jumping clear in stadium and on cross country to place 6th. Rounding out the day, Courtney and Blonde Ambition competed at Beginner Novice, adding another double clear set of jumping rounds to finish 5th.
