A high school student from New York City, Gillian has been a working student with us from 2010 to 2012.
She first arrived at C Square Farm in the summer of 2010 when she arrived with her horse Donner, with whom she had competed in Jumpers and Equitation. Donner was rehabbing from an injury, but unfortunately he did not recover completely. And Gillian and her parents decided to retire him to a farm in Virginia.
As Gillian was looking to compete in eventing, the Cowleys purchased a new horse, Gabriella Rossellini. Gillian competed “Gabby” twice, finishing 2nd in Novice at the Olney Farm Horse Trials.
Gillian spent periods of time with us throughout the year, returning for several months in the summer of 2011. She and Gabby have continued their success, including several 1st-place finishes at Training. Gillian spent her 2012 spring break with Courtney in Aiken as well as several weeks in the 2012 summer with us again in 2012.
