Havasu’s Corner, October 2010

Well that was a fun trip. I tried my best to keep the youngster in line, and I think I did a good job. Tag seemed to think he was pretty hot stuff after cross-country, so that’s a good thing. Now I need to teach him how to leave all the rails up on the last day. One step a time.

Then there’s the NevNev. She’s a little powerhouse! She got a lot of attention while we were in Georgia from the neighboring geldings. It looks like I’m going to have to keep a close eye on her and step in when necessary.

As for me, Courtney and I are still working every day. She keeps mentioning this “Advanced” word to me. She says it’s harder than the jumps we’ve been doing so far. She also says we need to be extra prepared and we probably won’t try them out until the spring. I saw, bring it on!

Until next time … whinny at you later!
