Born on Monday, July 31, 2006, our third oldest homebred, R Star (Hope), is by Heavenly Star (Faith) and was sired by R. Johnson, a Dutch Warmblood whose sire, G. Ramiro Z, has produced many successful horses.  His progeny include show jumper Ratina Z,  who was the 1992 and 1996 Olympic Games Medalist.

She was backed and ridden briefly as a 2 and 3 year old, and in 2010 she produced  Count R Lucky Star (Grace), a filly by Holsteiner, Linaro.  She also had a son by Riverman, R River Star (River), who was born via a surrogate mare in 2014.

Hope began her eventing career in February 2011 in Aiken, SC.  She spent the rest of the year competing through Training with Courtney and at Beginner Novice with Neal.  She placed 4th in the East Coast Young Event Horse Championships in October 2011.

She competed up through Preliminary in 2013 winning and placing multiple times and winning the CIC* at Plantation Field finishing 1st in a field of 56.

She moved up to Intermediate at the end of 2013 and has multiple high placings at USEA recognized events and finished 2015 with a successful completion at the Fair Hill CCI**.

In 2016, she moved on to a new career with Nicole Horton in California. We wish them all the best.
