Courtney and Who’s a Star (Tag) competed in the CCI 2* (Intermediate Level Three Day Event). They traveled the few hours away to the Horse Park of New Jersey arriving on Tuesday, the day before the first horse inspection on Wednesday. Courtney used the extra time there to familiarize herself with the long (9 minute and 14 second) cross country course.
Their dressage test was scheduled for Friday morning , and they did well placing 9th out of 34 horses. Tag was the 2nd horse out on cross country Saturday morning. He and Courtney had a great round jumping clear, but adding a little time.
Sunday morning brought the final horse inspection and then stadium jumping. The inspection went by without any issues and Courtney & Tag entered stadium standing in 12th place. Tag again jumped very well, but brought down the last fence on course, adding 4 jumping penalties, while still moving up to finish in 11th place.
