Courtney competed with homebreds Who’s a Star (Tag) at Advanced and R Star (Hope).
The event began with a 1 hour rain delay to allow a line of storms to move through. The rain just finished as Courtney and Tag did their dressage. They had a very good test, scoring 29.7 to place 2nd. With the Advanced divisions being run as a one-day event, they did stadium jumping next. They jumped clear and finished 1 second over time, slipping to 3rd place. Next on cross county, Courtney and Tag also jumped clear, but added a little more time, finishing in 7th place.
The CIC 2* was only the third event for Hope at the Intermediate level. With the competition running over three consecutive days, Courtney and Hope did not do their dressage until Friday afternoon. They also put in a great test, scoring 43.7 (71%) to place 2nd out of 31 horses. In stadium jumping on Saturday, they had a good round, but 1 rail down to move to 5th place. On Sunday, they ran cross country, jumping clear, but with some time to finish 14th.
