Returning to Pine Top Farm for the second time this year, Courtney competed with only one horse, homebred Who’s a Star (Tag), at the Intermediate Level. She decided to try some new things this time out. In Dressage, she rode Tag in a double bridle, something he had only schooled in previously. They produced some very good movements, but did not score as well as hoped for, placing 12th of 22.
Tag finished Saturday with a good stadium round jumping clear and moving up to eighth place. He and Courtney returned on Sunday for cross country. Tag ran well, but Courtney felt like she had a little too much bit as they jumped clear but added 6.8 time faults to finish 11th.
