Courtney and Havasu Canyon competed in the CIC** (Intermediate Level International Horse Trials). The event is a needed qualifier for the Fair Hill International CCI** coming in October.
They started off on Friday doing well in the dressage, placing just outside the ribbons. On Saturday, they had a beautiful cross country round, jumping clear. As finishing with a qualifying result was foremost on Courtney’s mind, the pair finished a little over the optimum time but still moved up to 8th place. In stadium jumping on Sunday, they also jumped clear, again moving up a few places to finish 6th.
