For the first event of 2014, Courtney traveled from our winter home in Aiken, SC to Hamilton, GA. She brought along Who’s a Star (Tag) at Intermediate / Preliminary, R Star (Hope) at Preliminary, and Sport at Training.
All of the horses had good dressage tests with Hope placing 3rd, Tag 5th, and Sport 9th. Hope and Tag added clear stadium jumping rounds, moving up to 2nd and 3rd place. Sport jumped very well and had a single rail.
Since Courtney and the horses had just arrived in the south a week before the event, she took her time with them on on cross country, with all three horses jumping clear but over time. As luck would have it, Hope still moved up to win her division; Tag finished 4th, and Sport out of the ribbons.
