Courtney rode Prerequisite and Fifi Brindacier at the Preliminary Level. Both horses went well in dressage scoring 33.0 and 35.2 respectively. Prerequisite went on to put in a very nice round jumping clear in stadium. He began cross country well but suffered a “bad step” injury part way through the course, slipping his ligaments and tendons off one of his hocks.
We took him directly to the University of Pennsylvania’s Large Animal Hospital – New Bolton Center. His owners decided to go forward with surgery to repair the damage from his injury. He was operated on November 1st and is recovering.
Consequently, Fifi did not get to compete in either stadium or cross country.
