What an exciting time we had at the American Eventing Championships! At the end of last month Courtney and her team traveled down to the Tryon International Equestrian Center to compete against that nation’s best at the AEC’s. Courtney brought the Dare To Dream Team’s Tender Bravissimo to contest the Training Horse division.
The Dare To Dream Team’s Tender Bravissimo (“Whiskers”) kicked off the week of competition scoring an impressive 22.5 in dressage to sit in 2nd place heading into cross-country day. A clean and fast round the following day let him keep his position. After a fault-free round on Friday, the pair moved up to clinch the WIN and take home the blue in the Training Horse division. Courtney can’t wait to see what the future holds for this special horse.

One of the major goals of Dare to Dream Team was to be inclusive and affordable. Most ownership groups have big buy-in and annual maintenance fees. The Dare to Dream share entry price is only $2,000 with an ongoing annual maintenance fee of $150 per month.
One of Courtney’s long-time friends, Janice Gordon has been supporting Courtney and is a member of the Dare To Dream Team. Janice has been able to receive exclusive access at competitions and has taken a front row seat at Courtney’s lessons with her coaches, Olympian Boyd Martin, his wife Silva Martin and show jumping coach Richard Picken. Janice was even able to accompany Courtney on her shopping trip to Ireland this past summer where Janice became involved with another one of Courtney’s talented young horses, the Zangersheide mare Caia Z!
Janice would be happy to speak with anyone considering becoming a member of the group and has this to say about her involvement, “I no longer have any of my own horses that I ride and I never thought that I would enjoy owning a horse that I didn’t ride myself. However, Courtney got me involved with the ownership of two of her horses and I have found it to be fun and exciting and has provided me with some of my most treasured memories.”
The members of the Dare To Dream have the opportunity to own a horse that has the potential to reach the highest level of the sport and become an integral part of that journey. Courtney does everything she can to make these members feel special and offers them every opportunity to feel connected to the process.
