Kathy Bell and Snowy competed against 50 other junior riders at the novice level. Each horse and rider combination had to qualify by finishing in first or a combination of second and third places at horse trials throughout the previous year.
Kathy and Snowy performed very well in the dressage, placing third. They went on to add a clean cross country round moving up to second place. And finally they jumped clean in stadium, so that when the rider ahead of them had faults, Kathy and Snowy won!
