C Square Cake Ball Recipe
INGREDIENTS
- 1 box of cake mix, plus required ingredients
- 1/2 can of frosting
- 2 bags melting chocolate
- sprinkles
DIRECTIONS
- Make one cake mix according to directions.
- Once cake is cool, break into pieces. Mix in your frosting.
- Keep mixing.
- Roll into cake balls (squishing flat before rolling helps keep shape). Make balls about the size of 1-2 bites (smaller is better).
- Melt melting chocolate (do not use chocolate chips or bars) in microwave on medium power for 2 mins, covered, stirring, and checking often. Add more time if needed to completely mix.
- Once completely melted, add 1-2tbsp of vegetable oil to chocolate and stir.
- Take parchment paper (do not use tin foil or plastic wrap) and lay flat on counter.
- Take rolled balls, place in melted chocolate, take 2 forks to pick up balls, let excess chocolate drip off, and place on parchment paper.
- After making 4-5 balls, sprinkle decorations on top – sprinkles, other melted chocolate, or other toppings of your choosing
- Let cool & enjoy! (Can be frozen to enjoy for several months.)
