Courtney competed with homebreds Who’s a Star (Tag) in the CCI 3* and R Star (Hope) in the CIC 2*.
On Thursday, Courtney and Tag had a great dressage test, scoring 44.6 (70.3%) to place 3rd. On Friday, Courtney and Hope performed nearly as well in dressage, scoring 47.8 (68.2%) to also place 3rd. Tag had Friday off.
Saturday started off with stadium jumping for Courtney and Hope. They had a good round but added a few rails to slip to 8th place. They later ran cross country in the rain. Again Hope jumped well, but Courtney’s wet rains slipped away from her in the water jump, and they picked up 20 penalties. They finished 11th of 24.
Tag ran very well on cross country; he did have a stop at the bounce coming out of the water, but with only 12 of 23 horses finishing the 10 and 1/2 minute course, we are pleased with his performance. Sunday brought the final horse inspection and then stadium jumping for Tag. Courtney and he had a great round jumping clear and just 1 second over the time. The finished in 7th place.
