For our first event back home in Area II, we went to Morven Park, with Courtney competing several horses, while Gillian Cowley capped off the two weeks of her Spring Break that she spent with us riding her own Gabriella Rossellini (Gabby).
Courtney on R Star (Hope) and Gillian on Gabby had very good dressage tests with both of them scoring 30 (70%) to lead their Training Horse and Junior Training Rider divisions. Not to be outdone, Courtney and Nevaeh scored 25.9 (74.1%) to stand 2nd in their Open Training division of 30 horses. Decorated (Artie) and Ballinglaugh Ice also competed in the same divison, with both horses putting in good efforts in dresage.
All of the horses had good stadium jumping rounds, with Gabby and Nevaeh each adding a single rail while the other horses jumped clear. All of the horses went on to go clear on cross country. Hope and Gabby finished in 1st, Nevaeh in 3rd, Artie 10th, and Icey 13th.
