Courtney had a busy weekend, competing Vegas Run at Preliminary/Training, R Star (Hope) at Training, I’m Perfect (Diamond) at Novice, and Sport & Guaranteed Pegasus at Beginner Novice. Gillian Cowley also competed, riding her horse Gabriella Rosellini at Novice.
Vegas scored 33.6 in dressage, his first time riding a Preliminary Level test. The Preliminary/Training Level has Preliminary dressage and stadium with Training cross country. He jumped clear on cross country, and then added only a few time faults in stadium to finish 3rd.
Hope, did well jumping clear in stadium and on cross country. Diamond also jumped clear, but added a little time in stadium jumping, with both horses finishing out of the ribbons.
Sport, who was competing in his first full horse trials, did very well. He jumped clear on cross country and added only a rail in stadium, finishing just out of the ribbons in 10th place.
Gillian and Gabby scored 25.70 in dressage to tie for 7th out of 22. They then went on to jump clear in stadium and on cross country, with Gillian be careful with he time on XC so that she finished just under the optimum time to break her tie and finish alone in 7th place.
