In the Even Team’s first event of the year, Courtney had a busy 2 days competing on several of our sales horses. As we only arrived in Aiken a few weeks ago, this was Courtney’s maiden competition with most of the horses.
At Beginner Novice, Chaucer had a great event, scoring a 30 in the dressage, and then jumping clear in stadium on cross country to finish in 2nd place. Jasmine Wallace, who joined the Event Team in the fall, rode her own On April’s Dawn (Bella); they also jumped a double clear to finish 7th.
At Novice, True Grit led the way, jumping a double clear to finish on his dressage score of 29.5 in 3rd place. Goo Goo Doll also jumped a double clear finishing in 10th. Mooney Time did well in the dressage, placing 6th; he added a clean stadium round but had a green stop on cross country to finish out of the ribbons. Also competing at Novice was Eyore, who put in excellent jumping rounds but finished out of the ribbons.
