Competing for the first time in 2010, Courtney rode Havasu Canyon at Preliminary. They had a great ride in the dressage, placing first. They went on to jump clear in stadium jumping. On cross country, Havasu was a bit excited, and Courtney was was aiming to not go too fast. She met her goal as they jumped clear and added some time to their score finishing 4th.
Courtney also rode Who’s a Star (Tag) in the dressage and stadium jumping at Preliminary, opting not to run cross country. Tag placed 6th in dressage and jumped clear in stadium. At Novice, Courtney competed with Johnny, a new horse for sale. They did well in all three phases jumping clear on cross country and adding a rail in stadium to finish in 6th place.
