Courtney Competed with R Star (Hope) in the CIC 1* and Who’s a Star (Tag) in the CIC 3*.
Hope lead off things with a 36.2 score in dressage leading all of the 56 horses in her division. She then jumped a double clear round in stadium to maintain her top-placed standing. For cross country, the top horses jumped in reverse order of standing, with Hope scheduled last to go. She had a great round, jumping clear and finishing right on the optimum time, making her one of only 9 horses to finish on their dressage score, and win her division.
Tag had good moments in his dressage test, but others were not quite so good and he placed in the middle of the pack. He had a good stadium round, adding just 2 rails. On cross country, he jumped great for the first half of the course. Unfortunately, Courtney fell off of him at the big water complex. As the division continued, another nine riders had problems at the same location, and the fence was removed from the course with the remaining riders no longer jumping it.
