In their last event before heading north to spend the Summer with us, Kathy Bell and Snowy competed at the novice level in the Area III Championships. The two of them had been working hard all Spring, including a tune up with Courtney only a few weeks earlier. Kathy and Snowy were one of 44 entries in the Novice Rider Championship Division of juniors and adults alike.
They had a great dressage test, scoring 29.5 to put them in 3rd place. Then then jumped clean on cross county adding only a few time penalties to move up to 2nd place before stadium jumping on Sunday. Competing in reverse order of standing, they needed to jump clean in order to hold onto their placing, and they did, bringing home the red ribbon. Congratulations to Kathy and Snowy!
