Courtney competed two of our new arrivals in their first horse trials: Hugh at the Training Level and Toy Soldier at the Novice Level. Both horses put in three good phases with Hugh earning a 4th place ribbon. By the end of the day, each of them made it look like eventing was old-hat, as they enjoyed the cross county course.
Also competing at the Training Level were, Jennifer Burg on Partner in Crime and Neal on Hanna. Both of these more experienced combinations had good starts to the day with excellent dressage tests and clean show jumping rounds. In fact, Neal lead his division in the dressage. Unfortunately, problems on the cross county course kept both of them out of the ribbons.
