Courtney rode R Star (Hope) and Molten Rock (Quarry) at Beginner Novice as well as Dunlavin Fox (Foxy) at Training.
Hope, who is our 3rd-oldest homebred and who was competing for the first time ever, had a great day. She placed 2nd in dressage, and went on to jump well, improving both her form and bravery as the day went on to finish 11th.
Quarry was competing at his first USEA horse trials. He placed 3rd in dressage with a 33.0; he added a rail in stadium and jumped clear on cross country to finish 8th.
Foxy did well in all three phases; finishing 7th in his first outing of 2011.
