Toy Story started out on his 2nd Intermediate Horse Trials with a very good dressage test. Courtney and “Woody” then jumped clean around a difficult cross county course and ended the weekend up with a nice stadium jumping round to earn another qualification towards the Radnor CCI**. August 2 – Pleasant Hollow Farms, Inc Horse Trials – Coopersville, Pennsylvania.
Amy Lindgren’s horses, Snowy and Lindy, both put in excellent rounds at Pleasant Hollow to finish in the ribbons. Competing in Open Novice, Lindy was 5th while Snowy finished in 3rd. This finish qualifies Snowy for the Area II Novice Championships. Our Training Level competitors also had an excellent day at Pleasant Hollow. Student Emily Southworth qualified for the Area II Championships at the Training Level with her 3rd place finish in OT on Black Irish. Further successes included Christine Weir’s 2nd place finish in OT on her horse, Code of Ethics. August 10 – Plantation Field Horse Trials – Unionville, Pennsylvania.
Amy Lindgren and Lindy made their eventing debut at Elementary Novice. After a lovely dressage test which put them in 9th place, unfortunate weather changes resulted in the cancellation of Show Jumping and Cross Country. The two look forward two look forward to another opportunity to compete next weekend. August 10-11 – Fair Hill International Horse Trials – Fair Hill, Maryland.
This weekend found the Event Team at Fair Hill. Toy Story finished another intermediate, ending with a clean show jumping round. Craig gained valuable experience in his first Training Level Event. Christine Weir finished in a third place position on her horse, Code of Ethics.
